Life Drawing

Social life drawing classes on the NSW Central Coast. Grab a glass of bubbes, a stick of charcoal and celebrate the beauty of the female form.

Women’s Only Classes

I believe strongly in model diversity and representation in terms of age and body size. There is no one type of body and in turn our classes will reflect this. Most of our models are completely new to posing nude and have chosen to model with the intention of having fun in a safe female only environment; to try something new and challenge themselves and for some, find a love and acceptance for their own body.

Model Diversity

Relaxed social life drawing, these are not your traditional art classes. While guidance and tips will be given, classes are intended to be fun and celebratory, a chance to appreciate the endless beauty of the female form while making new friendships and hopefully leave feeling a little more in love with your own bodies.

FAQs

Do I need experience?

Absolutely not. This is a relaxed social class where the focus is enjoying the company of other women and being creative in a completely stress free no pressured environment. As adults we often lose the chance to just play, draw, make mistakes, try new things where some work and others don’t. This is the place for that. You will be guided on different drawing techniques, styles and mediums from class to class however you are completely free to draw independently and at your own pace.

What do I need to bring?

  • A welcoming and curious mindset

  • Comfortable clothing that isn’t too special (it may get some charcoal fingerprints on it)

  • Water will be provided at break but please feel free to bring a bottle if you wish to have it with you while drawing.

What’s included?

  • Two glasses of wine. Water and non-alcoholic options are also available.

  • Light snacks.

  • All drawing equipment (paper/boards/drawing materials).

What do we do?

  • After arriving everyone is encouraged to grab a drink, bite to eat and get set up for the class.

  • There are mixed drawing stations including easels, seated on stools and on the floor with rugs and cushions.

  • The class is split into two halves with a 15 min social break in between for more wine, snacks and laughs.

  • The first half we explore mediums and techniques with a series of shorter poses.

  • The second half we have two longer poses for you to play with these techniques and mediums and complete a more detailed drawing.

  • You will be able to take all your drawings home at the end.
